Nevada Police Department makes arrests for drug distribution

In the evening hours of Saturday August 19th Nevada Police were surveilling an area in the 200 block of W. Austin Blvd in response to reports of illegal drug activity at that location.

Officers were able to observe persons at that location involved in hand to hand transactions that appeared to be associated will illegal drug activity.

Officers made contact with a vehicle parked at that location, whose occupants appeared to be involved in the suspected illegal drug activity.

During the course of the investigation, officers located and seized multiple packages containing suspected methamphetamine that had been prepared for distribution.

One male subject, identified as Bryan Shepherd, age 29 of Nevada, was taken into custody for investigation of distribution of a controlled substance and transported to the Vernon County Jail for holding.

A second male subject, identified as William R. Howard Jr., age 39 of Nevada was taken into custody for an active Vernon County arrest warrant and transported to the Vernon County Jail for holding.

On Sunday August 20, 2017 the following charges were filed against Shepherd through the Vernon County Associate Court:

William R. Howard Jr.
Delivery of Controlled Substance, Felony C

Shepherd is being held in the Vernon County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 cash only bond.
