The Bates County Sheriff's Office would like to thank everyone for their help on Friday during a missing child call. At approximately 0930 hrs we received a call of a missing 3 year old.

After a couple hours of searching the child was found and transported to Bates County Memorial Hospital where he was given a clean bill of health.

We were assisted by Bates County EMS, Urich Fire Department, Garden City Fire Department, Adrian Fire Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Henry County Sheriff's Office, Cass County Sheriff's Office, Bates County Sheriff's Posse and many civilian volunteers.
