A visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow services in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Missouri. Naomi Leola Borland Frost was born August 31, 1907 in Bates County, Missouri to Joseph and Mary E. “Molly” Cumpton Borland. She grew up attended school in the Bates County area. After graduating she taught school in a one room school house near Appleton City, Missouri. On May 14, 1936 she was united in marriage to Francis L. Frost. From this union two children were born. Francis and Naomi soon moved to Springfield, Missouri following a job offer. Later in life they would move back to Kansas City to be near family.
Naomi was a member of Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed traveling, card games with friends, especially pinochle, and the simple things in life, like canning, sewing, and making craft gifts for family. She will forever be remembered for her sweet disposition and kind words.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, her husband of 61 years, Francis Frost, and by four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by a son Gene Frost and wife Judy of Kansas City, MO., four grandchildren, Jeanine Lalli and husband Cam of Punta Gorda, FL., Gary Frost and wife Jill of Lee’s Summit, MO., Mike Frost and wife Sarah of Raytown, MO., and Amy Frost of Kansas City, MO. She also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Logan and Avery Naomi Frost, and many nieces, nephews and expended family members
