Burglary and Car Theft Suspect in Custody After Pursuit

Cass Co – On Thursday March 22, 2018 around 9:40 a.m. Cass County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a burglary at a residence in the 12000 block of E. 250th Street, Peculiar.

While investigating that call officers with the Peculiar Police Department located the suspect vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled from officers at which time a pursuit began.

Officers from pursued the vehicle into southern Lee’s Summit (Raintree Area). The suspect was apprehended by Cass County Deputies in the area of SW Hook Rd and SW Ward Rd.

The suspect, Christopher D. McLaughlin, 27, Raymore was arrested on an active warrant out of Grandview.

Charges related to the burglary and stealing are pending.
