Deerfield man injured after striking cow in the roadway

On 4/3/18 around 5:55am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Vernon County responded to a one vehicle accident involving a semi truck and a cow on Missouri 54 Highway 2 miles west of Deerfield.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1997 Peterbilt driven by 49 year old Ronald T. Bunn of Deerfield, Missouri struck a cow that was in the roadway.

Mr. Bunn sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Nevada Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The semi truck received extensive damages and it was towed from the scene by Saker's Tow of Ft. Scott, Kansas.
