We want to remind everyone to be vigilant when using any credit/debit card machines. Skimmers can be placed on gas pumps, ATMs, or any other place where you would insert a card. Many skimmers go completely inside the card slot and are not easily seen from the outside. When a skimmer is placed into the card slot, it often results in a person having to apply more force than normal to push their card in.
In general, tap pay is a safer option than swiping a card, but nothing is 100% safe. Please do everything you can to protect yourself from becoming a fraud victim. Pay close attention to your bank transactions and statements to watch for fraudulent activity.
