Power Outage Update from KCP&L

Storm Update: Currently, we have approximately 33,000 customers remaining without power (down from a peak of 90,000 customers), which is nearly 65% of affected customers restored.

We currently have hundreds of employees and contractors working on restoration, including tree crews, troublemen, linemen and materials personnel. We have requested additional resources from neighboring utilities as well.

While continue to be optimistic that we will restore a large number of customers today, restoration efforts will likely continue into tomorrow. We will overnight to continue repairs. We encourage all customers to stay away from any downed power lines.
