Belton woman escapes serious injured in Cass County

On 8/21/18 around 10:15pm the Cass County Sheriff's Office along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on Route D around 1/2 mile east of 171st Street in rural Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2002 Ford driven by 30 year old Samantha J. Wooden of Belton, Missouri swerved to avoid striking a deer in the roadway causing her to travel off the right side of the roadway and strike a embankment.

Samantha J. Wooden sustained minor injuries in this accident and she will seek her own medical treatment.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Eckert's Tow.
