David Neal Wareham passed away peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, on January 12, 2019. The son of Donald Gene and Betty Jean (Miller) Wareham, he was born on December 3, 1961 in Butler, Missouri. He graduated from Appleton City High School in 1980. He went to work as an auto detailer at Zink Motor Company shortly after completing his education. He also worked as a mechanic, electrician, and construction worker early in his life. Later he took employment as a welder, specializing in making power plant boilers for 17 years until his retirement in 2010. Right before his retirement he married “Kim” Miriam Ann Cervanyk in 2009, the love of his life. He also had three daughters, Christine, Leslie, and Jessie, that he dearly loved.

Apart from times spent with his family, deer hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting were among his favorite activities. He also enjoyed reading many genres of books, especially the works of Stephen King. David loved traveling throughout the United States, seeing the sites and meeting new people. He cherished his dogs, rarely being separated from them. Nevertheless, his family and times spent with them were unquestionably the most important things in his life. They will dearly miss him.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Donald Gene and Betty Jean (Miller) Wareham; his sister, Liz Reno.

David is survived by his wife, Kim; his three daughters: Leslie Phillips, Christine (Harold) Blevins, and Jessie Hoover; siblings: Bonnie Noble, Donnie Wareham, Jack Wareham, Paula Gray; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family, along with many friends that will miss him deeply.
