From the Barton County Prosecuting Attorney

On Wednesday, November 27, 2019, Nathan Lee Jones pled guilty to 5 counts of burglary in the second degree and 5 counts of arson in the second degree for his role in the recent string of arson fires in Liberal, Missouri.

Mr. Jones was sentenced to 7 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on each count.

The sentences will run concurrent. 7 years is the maximum term for these crimes. I want to thank the Missouri State Fire Marshals, Barton County Sheriff's Office, the Liberal Police and Fire Departments who worked tirelessly to solve these crimes.
