Linda Kaye Bowden was born March 26, 1944 in California to Roland and Thelma Dott Sanders. She grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and moved with her family, to the Kansas City area in 1978. Linda was united in marriage to Edward Bowden on February 1, 1962 and two children were born from this union. For many years she worked hard as a waitress and caring for her family. Linda was a strong Christian woman with a loving heart and a giving spirit. She loved to read, spend time with her family, and she especially enjoyed her dog Tinker.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 52 years Edward Bowden, and by her brother Douglas Sanders. She is survived by her son Stephen Bowden, daughter Vicki Hobbs and husband Kurt of Butler, Missouri, grandchildren Nicholas and Leann, great-grandchildren Laytin and Jena, sister-in-law Delores Bruton, and brother-in-law Daniel Bowden.
