Peter was raised on a farm in Clark, SD and graduated from Clark High School. He farmed in SD all his life and was a custom combiner for 19 years in the midwest. He moved to Sheldon in 1996 where he raised cattle, he also lived in Oklahoma for several years before moving back to the Milo in 2015.
Pete is survived by three children; Justin Cornell (Jennifer) Platte, SD, Jeremy Cornell, Sheldon, MO, and Jessica Meadows (Clarence), Tulsa, OK; eight grandchildren: Ryan, Allen, Julia, Quentin, Logan, Sean, Ella, and Evelyn; six great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn Cornell (Carol) Clark, SD; a niece and a nephew; extended family and special friends. Peter was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah and his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Peter Savidge officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Nevada.
A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening with a visitation to follow until 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
