A good deed, indeed

The Bates County Museum extends a big thank you to Roy Conley, a northern Bates County resident, and to Alvin Griffin, Northern Commissioner, for removing a huge brush pile from the Museum’s grounds. While many people were enjoying time off over Labor Day weekend, these two gentlemen spent time working for the Museum. The brush pile had accumulated from clean-up following storms in May of this year and help was needed to get it moved. Many thanks to Roy and Alvin!

Friends and volunteers of the Museum are the reason we are able to keep everything so nice. Volunteers are always welcome and there is a variety of projects and jobs, both inside and outside, to choose from. The Museum is particularly grateful for the time, labor, equipment, funding, and a host of other contributions from people working together to Preserve Our History & Sustain Our Heritage.
