Wilma grew up in Vernon County, living in Stotesbury until the age of 14 when she moved along with her family to Kansas City, MO. She worked at General Motor’s in Kansas City for 15 years. For the past 37 years she has resided in Sweet Springs, MO.
Wilma is survived by her companion of 40 years, John Greer, of the home in Sweet Springs; five children, Ervin Schofield (Kathy), Lee’s Summit, MO, Danny Schofield (Vera), Louisville, KY, Robert Schofield, Kansas City, MO, Teresa Ellis, Belton, MO, and Larry Schofield, Belton, MO; eight grandchildren, Lovena Goessele, Bobbie Rhodd, Jamie Becker, Brandy Schofield, Heather Schofield, Timothy Schofield, Scotty Schofield, and Matthew Schofield. In addition to her husband Donald, she was preceded in death by one sister, and four brothers.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Sheldon Cemetery in Sheldon, MO. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
