Arrest made after Burglary in Ballard

On February 8, 2021 a Deputy took a burglary report at a residence in Ballard, MO. The Deputy observed damage to the barn doors. 

The victim stated that there were several items missing that included a Miller wire welder, a Dewalt chop saw, a utility trailer and a Yamaha Rhino 660.

During the Deputy's investigation he relayed the information on the stolen items to an Adrian Police Officer. The Adrian Officer advised the Deputy that he had observed a truck, trailer and a side by side at the Adrian motel. The Deputy arrived on scene and discovered that the truck the trailer was attached to was stolen out of Vernon County.

The owner of the motel advised the Deputy that no one had permission to be in the motel room that the truck was parked in front of. Robert Bowlin (DOB 6/21/1982) was inside the room. The Deputy took Bowlin into custody and during his search he located the keys to the truck and the Rhino. The Deputy also located a firearm, drug paraphernalia and a baggie containing a white substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Bowlin was transported to the Bates County Jail and was put on a 24 hour investigative hold. Bowlin was formally charged with Burglary, Stealing and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is currently being held in the Bates County Jail. His bond was set at $30,000.00 cash or surety.
