Congratulations Nicole

The Harrisonville School District is pleased to announce that Nichole Tews has been named the Assistant Director for the Cass Career Center for the 2021-22 school year. Mrs. Tews will begin her new duties in July.

Mrs. Tews has taught English IV at Cass Career Center for 13 years. Prior to that she taught Communication Arts at Harrisonville High School for seven years. She is currently an adjunct instructor for Crowder College and has served in the same capacity for the University of Central Missouri and Longview Community College.

Mrs. Tews earned her BA in English from Buena Vista University and her MS in Liberal Arts from Baker University. She also holds a Missouri Career Continuous Professional Certification in English 9-12.

In 2012, Mrs. Tews was named the Harrisonville Schools Educator of the Year and during the following year, she was a Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Missouri State Teacher of the Year Finalist.

Mrs. Tews will be taking over Dr. Anne Hickman’s position. Dr. Hickman has been named the Director of the Cass Career Center for the 2021-22 school year.
