Crime Prevention from the Belton Police Department

As most of you are aware the city of Belton had an armed robbery where a car was taken (aka carjacking) last weekend. There have been several cases throughout the metro where victims have been followed and then carjacked once they got to their destination and were not paying close attention to their surroundings. We encourage everyone to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

If you feel you are being followed, do not hesitate to call the police department wherever you may be and begin driving to the closest police department or well lit and crowded area you can find. Look out for yourselves and each other.
