Molendorp disburses $128.4 million in December collections-the largest month in history. Cass County’s 14 public schools receive over $84 million.
January 13, 2023 (Harrisonville) Cass County Collector of Revenue Chris Molendorp has released December 2022, property tax disbursement figures for Cass County’s local political subdivisions.
Molendorp disbursed $128,393,555.30 to 74 separate local political subdivisions and the State of Missouri.
Cass County’s 14 public-school districts were the largest recipients with total disbursements of $84,072,958.60. Of those districts, Raymore-Peculiar R-2 received $31,938,106.97; Belton #124 received $20,291,036.59; and Harrisonville R-9 received $12,292,345.60.
The second largest recipients were Cass County’s 21 cities and villages that levy a property tax. In total, Molendorp disbursed $14,665,010.68 in this category with the City of Belton receiving the most at $5,413,819.08. The City of Raymore received $4,176,721.66 and the City of Pleasant Hill was third, receiving $1,292,510.64.
Cass County’s 15 fire and ambulance districts were the third largest recipients by category at $11,664,502.80. South Metropolitan Fire and Ambulance wase the largest recipient in this category, receiving $5,494,026.48. West Peculiar Fire and Ambulance received $1,876,400.56 and Pleasant Hill Fire was third with $1,598,888.72.
