Lamar scored on a single by Tyler Ansley, a single by T. Torben, a single by B. Gardner, and an error in the first inning. The Bears struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Lamar, giving up 15 runs.
Lamar got things moving in the first inning, when Ansley singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. A single by Zayn Carson in the fourth inning was a positive for the Bears.
Cooper again was on the mound for Lamar. The pitcher went four innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out five and walking one.
