Late Score Costs Butler Bears Varsity Against Cole Camp 

Thursdays district championship game against Cole Camp was a heartbreaker for the Butler Bears as they lost the lead late in a 4-3 defeat.

The game was tied at three with Cole Camp batting in the bottom of the fifth when an error scored one run for Cole Camp.

In the first inning, The Bears got their offense started. Brandon Hammett hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.

C Von Holten led things off in the hill for Cole Camp. The ace allowed five hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out three.

Eli Cox started the game for the Bears. The pitcher went four and a third innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out three. Jake Chandler threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Maddox Fennewald lead things off for the Bears with two hits and four at bats.

G Dieckman went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Cole Camp in hits. Cole Camp didn’t commit a single error in the field. D LeCroy had the most chances in the field with seven.

The Butler Bears will end the season with a 15-8 record! Thank you to all the seniors Logan Doll, Matthew Cotrill, Dakota Porter, Peyton Jackson and Zayn Carson. Great season boys!
