Services will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri, 64083. Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
John was born in Buffalo, New York on May 29, 1941. For many years he worked as a building manager for Kansas City, Missouri public schools. In the winter of 1992 he was joined in marriage with his wife, Mary (Andregg) on February 22nd. In life, John was a man of Catholic faith, loved being a musician as well as listening to Elvis, and was a huge Pittsburg Stealers fan.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Alice (Helen) Kingsley; and sister, Sherry Doody.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Kingsley of the home; four sons, John R. Kingsley, Jr. of Blue Springs, Missouri, Robert Kingsley of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Vince E. Kingsley (Anita) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Anthony Kingsley (Missy) of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; siblings, Linda Black of Buffalo, New York, Angelo Barsotti of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Raymond Kingsley of Raymore, Missouri, Mary Helen Doody of Appleton City, Missouri, Frankie Phelps, of Montrose, Missouri, Steve Doody of Butler, Missouri, Barbara Flynn of Raytown, Missouri, and Patrick Doody of Urich, Missouri; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
