Sheldon man injured following explosion on Stockton Lake

On Monday May 29th around 11:10 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol Water Patrol Division responded to a boat explosion at the State Park Marina at Stockton Lake.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1997 Sea-Doo PWC driven by 40 year old Justin C. Million of Sheldon, Missouri had returned to his jet ski after a short break and attempted to start the vessel, when an explosion ejected Million.

Justin C. Million sustained minor injuries and he was taken to Cox Barton County Hospital in Lamar for treatment. 

The vessel was totaled and removed from the scene.
