The incident occurred when the Harrisonville Police Department ended a police pursuit north of the former Bizarre Bazaar building. Mr. Laymon fled the scene of that vehicle pursuit with a gun. He was arrested a short time later.
Mr. Laymon is currently being charged with the following charges 1.) Tampering with a motor vehicle - 1st Degree 2.) Stealing - Firearm 3.) Resisting arrest by fleeing.
Mr. Laymon also has a non-extraditable, no bond, felony warrant for burglary out of Indiana. He is currently being held in the Cass County Jail in Harrisonville.
