A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Mullinax Funeral Home, Drexel Chapel (816-657-4400).

Gary David Freeman was born October 22, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Clarence and Edith Galloway Freeman. He graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1961.
Gary served his country in the United States Air Force. Upon completion of his service, he met the love of his life, Judy Steele. They were married August 23, 1980. From this union two children were born. Their life journey brought Gary and Judy to Missouri, and together they built a farm. Even after retirement, Gary continued to farm until his final days.
Gary never met a stranger, and to know him was to love him. His true passions were family, farming, and tinkering in his garage.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his wife Judy Freeman of the home in Drexel, son Andrew Freeman (Karen) of Drexel, MO., daughter Amanda Spradlin (Matt) of Buffalo, OK., grandchildren, Maggie Stark and Mataya Spradlin, twelve brothers and sisters, along with many nieces and nephews.
