Pleasanton teen killed in Miami County Kansas crash

On September 10, 2023 at 2:39 A.M. the Miami County Kansas Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a 911 phone call reporting a vehicle had rolled over in the area of W. 311th Street and Spring Valley Road. Emergency personnel were dispatched to this call as an injury accident.

 
When Deputies arrived, they located the vehicle west of Spring Valley Road in the north ditch. Deputies provided CPR to the driver until Miami County EMS arrived. The driver was later pronounced dead at the scene.

 
A preliminary investigation has determined that the vehicle, a 2004 Ford Explorer was traveling east on 311th Street, west of Spring Valley Road when the vehicle left the roadway on the right side before coming back onto the roadway causing the vehicle to roll multiple times. It came to a final rest in the north ditch. The driver and sole occupant was ejected during the crash.

The driver has been identified as Breann Nicole Bowley, 18 of Pleasanton, Kansas. We send our deepest condolences to Breann's family during this difficult time.

 
The crash continues to be investigated by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office. The Louisburg Fire Department also responded to assist at the scene.
