He became a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local #101 on September 1, 1987. Eddy enjoyed fishing, hunting, guns and anything outdoors. He loved kids, supporting many organizations along the way.
He is survived by his mother, Linda McCammon and husband James, his father, Larry Benson and wife Barbara, a brother Rodney Benson and wife Christina, a niece Sabrina Benson and fiance David Hartman, and a great niece Bristol Hartman.
