Two from Nevada injured in motor vehicle accident

On Friday April 19th around 11:36 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Vernon County along with Vernon County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on East Stockade Road at South 1650 Road about three miles south of Nevada.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the eastbound 2008 Toyota Sienna driven by 26 year old Tasha F. Stordant of Nevada, Missouri failed to stop at a stop sign followed by an improper turn that caused her to travel off the right side of the roadway striking an embankment.

Tasha F. Stordant along with a passenger in her vehicle 22 year old Travis Lingar also of Nevada both sustained injuries and both were transported to Nevada Regional Medical Center for treatment.
