Guy was a retired educator of 29 years, working in Cambridge, Yates Center, and Arkansas City, Kansas. In addition, Guy was proud to serve in the US Air Force, US Air Force and Army Reserves, and Army National Guard. He graduated high school from School of the Ozarks in Branson, MO. He obtained his BA from Southwestern College in Winfield, KS, and Masters from Wichita State University.
He enjoyed gardening, quilting, baking pies, antiquing, and collecting. He also had a keen knack for finding a new relative everywhere he went. But of most importance to Guy was his family. Guy was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Stamps, brothers Jay and Joe Stamps, and son-in-law Dale Galemore. He leaves his devoted wife of 69 years, Rebecca, his five children Cathy (Jim) Curl of Braman, OK, Cindy Galemore of Olathe, KS, Camy (Bob) Crank of Belton, MO, Clarissa Stamps of Hot Springs Village, AR, and Cary (Charlotte) Stamps of Rogers, AR. He also leaves a brother Jim (Doris) Stamps of Chelan, WA, and the added joys of his life, his 8 grandchildren Ryan (Rachel) Galemore, Rebecca (Michael) Maroon, Thomas (Krista) Crank, Kevin Crank, Christa (Cody) Baker, Patrick (Megan) Curl, Meridith (Quinton) Dols, and Tyler Stamps and 14 great grandchildren.

The family is grateful for the care received from Missouri Palliative and Hospice Care and the dedicated staff and host of special friends at Foxwood Springs. Services will be held on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1111 W. Foxwood Drive, Raymore, MO 64083.
