State Farm Student Athlete of the week

We are excited to announce our last Athlete of the Week of this school year. As part of being a Good Neighbor, Athlete of the Week allows us to give recognition to the hard working athletes in the area. We have had another great year of recognizing many great athletes!

Congratulations to Tandee Hiser for being selected as this weeks Athlete of the Week! Tandee was nominated by Coach Courter who stated, "on Monday, April 29, Tandee broke both the school and Ozark Highlands Conference record in the pole vault with a vault of 3.75 meters (12’ 3.75"). As of May 2, this mark leads not just Missouri Class 2, but all classes in the state as well as being the highest freshman girls vault in the country. This also qualifies her for the Nike Outdoor Nationals to be held in June in Eugene, Oregon.”

About Tandee:
Tandee is a freshman at Butler High School. She is involved in volleyball and track. We asked Tandee what she believes it takes to become an elite athlete. She told us, "a lot of time and dedication. You must put in a lot of practice and spend time outside of the regular practice hours." The most influential person in Tandee’s track career is her brother, Jaxon Hiser. She explains how she looks up to him in pole vault and he teachers her a lot about the sport.
•Favorite sport: track or volleyball
•Goal for pole vault: beat the class 2 state record
•What keeps her motivated for pole vault: continuing to get higher heights and beating her personal records.
•Favorite sonic drink: cherry limeade

Our team here at Kellie Davidson State Farm wants to wish Tandee the best of luck as she competes at sectionals tomorrow!
