Michael Joseph Tyrrell, age 83, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away at his home on February 8, 2025. He was born on May 17, 1941 at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Saint Augustine Grade School and Bishop Hogan High School, graduating with the class of 1958. After graduating from high school, he attended Penn Valley College.
On October 25, 1980, Michael was united in marriage to Linda Ann Swope in Kansas City, Missouri; they enjoyed 44 years of marriage. Michael raised three terrific sons: Christopher, Sean, and Brian Tyrrell. Michael worked for 40 years for the Ford Motor Company in Claycomo, Missouri. He retired in January of 2004.
Michael has enjoyed going to the Lake of the Ozarks since the 1950s. Mike and Linda purchased their first boat in 1985 and enjoyed the lake life with family and friends.
Mike and Linda purchased a home at the Lake of the Ozarks in 1999. They moved to the lake full-time in 2005. Mike joined the Elks Lodge #2705 in Laurie, Missouri and was an active member and officer, being involved in many different capacities. In doing so, he met a lot of people, forming lifelong friendships.
Michael is survived by his loving spouse, Linda; his three sons, Christopher Stephen of Las Vegas, Nevada; Sean Michael and wife Kelly of Overland Park, Kansas; and Brian Vincent and wife Sarah of Blue Springs, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Keith, Andre, Courtney, Alaina, Taylor, Trace, Sean Ryan, and Tegan; seven great-grandchildren, Michael, Makala, Ava, Colten, London, Victoria, River, and Jett.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Arnold Tyrrell, Jr. and Geneva Mavis (Tucker) Tyrrell of Overland Park, Kansas.
Interment will be at Carbon Center Cemetery in Rich Hill, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Carbon Center Cemetery.
