Butler Project Prom Recycling Fundraiser

Butler Project Prom is having a recycling fundraiser. We need your used electronics, even if they are broken and no longer work.

Needed items:
Cell Phones and Smart Phones- data will be cleared
Small Inkjet Cartridges
Laptop/Netbook Computers- hard drive will be destroyed
iPads- data will be cleared
iPods
Digital Cameras
Gold, Silver and Platinum Jewelry


Please send these items to school with your child, bring to the Butler Bears homecoming game and leave in a drop box at the gate or drop at the High School Nurse’s office.

Lobster order deadline October 17th


Here’s the opportunity of the season if you are a seafood lover. McBee’s General Store in Amsterdam will be shipping 100 hard shell fresh lobsters to our area on October 18th.

These lobsters from Maine will weigh 2 pounds and sell for 34 dollars each. Only 100 will be shipped. You will need to place your order for delivery now and pre-payment must be made in advance.

The deadline to order your lobster will be October 17th and again only 100 will be shipped, then you must be on location at 2 p.m. Friday October 18th to pick up your lobster. The lobster will be “live” and should be cooked soon after your purchase.

BUTLER BEARS HOMECOMING 2013 OCTOBER 18TH


The Butler Bears Homecoming date has been set for October 18th. The 2013 theme will be “ Disney”. Make your plans to prepare a float and join the celebration of the Butler Bears Homecoming activities. The Butler Bears will take on the Mid-Way Vikings on home turf at 7 pm. For those of you that can’t attend the 2013 Homecoming game, join FM-92 for Play by Play on Radio.

Monday - Sleeping Beauty - P.J. Day
Tuesday - Transformation Day - Dress as Your Favorite Disney Character
Wednesday - Donald Duck Dynasty Day
Thursday - Mickey Mouse Red and Black Day
Friday - Red and Black Game Day

T-shirts will be passed out during BEAR time on Wednesday for High School and delivered to the grade school on Wednesday so they go home with students that evening. *May be subject to change based on deliver of t-shirts.

The Bear Backers will be sponsoring our annual Bonfire at the Deaton Thomas Field on Thursday,October 17th at 8:30pm. Please come out and cheer on the football team!!

The Homecoming Parade will take place on Friday, October 18th with line-up starting at 2:30pm at the High School. The parade will start promptly at 3:00pm from High School Parking Lot. Parade Marshall's this year are Arnie and Sherry Hannah.

St. Clair County Man Arrested On Warrants


On Monday, Oct. 7, Timmy Mcintire, 21, Appleton City, was arrested at the St. Clair County Courthouse on a felony St. Clair County warrant. The warrant was related to class C felony charge of stealing from an incident in July. Mcintire was out of jail on an own recognizance (OR) bond related to the charge. He appeared in court for arraignment and Circuit Court Judge James Journey revoked the OR bond and issued a new warrant on the charge with bond set at $10,000 cash or surety. The warrant was served and Mcintire was taken into custody. Further court proceedings were scheduled for Nov. 4.

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, Mcintire was charged with class C felony burglary in the second degree from an incident that occurred on Oct. 4 in Appleton City. In the early morning hours on Oct. 5, a deputy was dispatched to 312 West Second Street and took a report of an altercation that involved Mcintire. Two victims reported Mcintire was intoxicated and punched a widow of the home and broke it. They stated he was reaching through the broken window trying to grab them and eventually entered the residence. There was another altercation and Mcintire was pushed out of the residence. He fled when a call to law enforcement was made. He was later arrested and released pending formal charges. An arrest warrant on this case was issued and served on Oct. 9 while Mcintire was in custody. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety and as of Tuesday, Oct. 15, Mcintire was still being held in the St. Clair County Jail. Further court proceedings in this case are scheduled on Nov. 6.

Appleton City Man Arrested On 2 St. Clair County Felony Warrants

On Saturday, Oct. 12, Marcus Balthrope, 32, Appleton City, was arrested on two St. Clair County warrants, a class C felony warrant for driving while intoxicated-aggravated offender and a class D felony warrant for driving while revoked/suspended. The warrant was issued on Oct. 9 and stem from an incident on May 11. The Appleton City Police Department made the arrest. Bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety. Bond was posted the same day and Balthrope was release

On October 19th, 2013, Mark Muller, star of History Channel's God, Guns & Automobiles, will be signing copies of God, Guns & Guts to raise money for our Veterans.

Mark wrote the introduction and is also featured on the cover of this beautiful photographic book that celebrates the 2nd Amendment. The author, Ben Philippi, will also be on hand signing copies.

Half of the proceeds from book sales ...will be given to Heroes Among Ushttp://www.heroesamongus.org a Kansas City based organization that helps service members and Veterans in need in the Midwest.

As well, everyone who buys a book gets a raffle ticket and we will be drawing winners all day for dozens of prizes such as gift cards, hunting equipment, shirts, hats, ammo, scopes and much more, donated by generous local companies and individuals. Free food and soft drinks will be served and you can meet the entire cast of God, Guns & Automobiles.

So please come out and join us to show support and raise money for our local Veterans. It will be a spectacular day.
