The 25th Annual Bob Gunn golf tournament, sponsored by the Adrian Lions Club, is coming up on Sunday, April 23. It's a 4 person scramble. We have been filled to capacity for the last 2 years so get your team signed up soon so you don't miss out!

Warmer Weather for the weekend

Spring will be springing again this weekend as temperatures more typical of late April return today. A weak little cold front will sweep through later today, helping push temperatures back down for Saturday, but a return of southerly winds Sunday will bring back the warmer temperatures by the end of the weekend. 

And, just in case you're curious, Saturday's temperatures are more typical of early April with Sunday's temperatures are more typical of late May. Otherwise, next chance for widespread significant rain will return towards the middle of the next work week.

Harrisonville Police Officer of the year named last night

Congratulations to HPD Officer Jeremiah Jacobs, who was named Officer of the Year for Harrisonville during the Elks Banquet last night.

Clinton man arrested in Henry County

Jonathan M. Todd

On 3/16/17 around 9:58pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Henry County arrested 35 year old Jonathan M. Todd of Clinton, Missouri.

Mr. Todd was arrested for 1.) Felony Possession of a controlled substance ( Methamphetamine) 2.) Felony Henry County Sheriffs Office Warrant 3.) Unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

He was booked into the Henry County Jail in Clinton and placed on a 24 hour investigative hold.

Overland Park Kansas teen arrested in Bates County

On 3/16/17 around 9:42pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 18 year old Justin M. Keller of Overland Park, Kansas.

Mr. Keller was arrested for 1.) Felony Possession of a controlled substance - Methamphetamine 2.) Unlawful use of drug paraphernalia 3.) Speeding.

He was booked into the Bates County Jail and later bonded out.

Rural Nevada man arrested; drugs and stolen gun recovered

A rural Nevada resident is in custody after a traffic stop by Sheriff’s Deputies Thursday afternoon. According to Vernon County Sheriff’s Officials, Christopher L Ensor, 37, who was wanted on a Felony warrant, was taken into custody after a deputy spotted him driving near the Sheriff’s Office in Nevada. 

Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said Ensor was wanted on a warrant for failure to obey a judge’s order on drug related charges. Mosher said suspected methamphetamine's and a firearm that has been identified as stolen from the Joplin, Mo area were seized during the traffic stop. 

Mr. Ensor is being held in the Vernon County Jail with no bond. Mosher said his office will be filing additional charges this week for the suspected drugs and stolen firearm.

Recovered Property in Cass County

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has recovered a large amount of (possibly stolen) items to include fishing equipment, motorcycle parts, and tools.
