Rural Nevada man arrested; drugs and stolen gun recovered

A rural Nevada resident is in custody after a traffic stop by Sheriff’s Deputies Thursday afternoon. According to Vernon County Sheriff’s Officials, Christopher L Ensor, 37, who was wanted on a Felony warrant, was taken into custody after a deputy spotted him driving near the Sheriff’s Office in Nevada. 

Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said Ensor was wanted on a warrant for failure to obey a judge’s order on drug related charges. Mosher said suspected methamphetamine's and a firearm that has been identified as stolen from the Joplin, Mo area were seized during the traffic stop. 

Mr. Ensor is being held in the Vernon County Jail with no bond. Mosher said his office will be filing additional charges this week for the suspected drugs and stolen firearm.
