Rob (Robbie) Grigsby was born on February 7,1975. Rob graduated from Hickman Mills High School in 1993 then attended plumbers Local 8. He married the love of his life Tracy in 2000. They enjoyed the backwoods and going camping. And they mutually shared the love of family, especially the time spent with their grandchildren.

His daughter Madison was Daddy’s soul of his heart. All she had to do was ask what state is next for the amusement park, or where are we going rock climbing at? They both had a passion for the love of the game, and one thing is for sure made her heart well protected being Daddy’s little girl.

Tom and Dan along with family at Lexington worked with Rob for over 20 years and provided more than a career. They were always here for him, and it was always appreciated greatly by the family.

While working in the plumbing industry, Rob never knew a stranger. He was always available to lend a hand. He often provided mentorship to anyone, not just a brother in need. It may have been just to talk you out of doing some dumb shit.

Proceeded in death by his Grandpa Francis, Uncle Mark, Grandpa Marvin, Grandma Shirley and Mother-in-law Pam.

Robert is survived by his parents, Jerry and Marlys Dick of Clinton, Missouri, his loving wife, Tracy Grigsby and their three children Dillon of blue Springs, Missouri, Jacob and Kristin along with grandchildren, Isaac and baby Dax, Madison, and Zach along with grandchildren, Clark, and soon to be born grandson next February, Adlee Rae who called him Daddy and loved him dearly, Sadie who treated like his own for over 20 years of blue Springs, Missouri, his sister Alina and spouse, Ryan and niece Kaylan, her family, Matthew Landon and Aurora, nephew Tyler, family Brittany and baby Theo in February, Grandma Doris Dick (94) of Raytown, Missouri, many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins along with many friends and people in community that loved him dearly.

23rd Annual 9/11 tribute and ceremony held in Adrian

For just over two decades regional police, first responders, firefighters, EMT's, paramedics and more have made their way through Adrian in a silent procession to join the community at the Optimist building in respect of the tragic events that unfolded on September 11, 2001.

But this annual observation hosted by the Adrian Fire Department also serves as a reminder that every day we are secure and know that someone is there to help in the event they are needed, hence recognition of our local first responders; the program also includes paying homage to our veterans too,  as they have and continue to serve our country so we may enjoy our freedoms thanks to their commitment.

Adrian Fire Chief Gary Dizney would like to thank all who participated and those who attended the program. And yes, plans are already in the works for the 24th year observation next year.

Some highlights from the evening:

A sight to behold at the entrance of the Optimist building

The beginning of the silent procession that made its way through Adrian last evening

A long line of first responders, police and fire units slowly move through Adrian

Chris Pinion of the Harrisonville fire department and former
Butler fire chief Jim Henry performing the bell ceremony

Mark Lopez of the Garden City fire department with words of encouragement and
recognition of those who serve and keep us safe every day

Local veterans were hailed for their service not only to our country, but community as well
