Friends of the Ballard FFA Dinner and Labor Auction
Public Service Announcement from the Harrisonville Area Chamber of Commerce
We are currently investigating the issues detailed within that group. In the future, we would encourage anyone concerned about the festival to contact the chamber directly through Facebook messenger, by calling 816-380-5271, or by stopping in to see us at our office.
The chamber works to maintain a festival environment that is fun and, above all else, safe. We have worked with our carnival provider for five years and this is the first time we have received any serious complaints concerning safety procedures.
We will fully investigate all concerns and do our best to address them before the next festival. We thank everyone for their support and we will see you next year!

Burnt playground in Butler rebuilt..
On Friday June 28th the Butler Fire Department along with Butler Police Department responded to the call of a playground fire behind the Ohio Street Methodist Church. The fire destroyed the playground equipment and temporally had the playground shut down.
That was until this week when several crews worked hard to restore this equipment and build this playground back. The juvenile suspect was identified in this case however no further information was available.
