Michaela joined our team in May as the Program Director. She oversees all programming at BCI including safety, production, vocational training, and skill building classes. She is well organized and keeps everyone in the know and everything running smoothly. We enjoy her sweet nature and get it done mentality.
In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, spending time outside, and chasing around her toddler.

BCMH food drive a success
Our food drive is now wrapped up, led by BCMH Family Care Clinics provider Dr. Miller and general surgeon Dr. Joyce. The non-perishable items pictured represent a little more than half of the donations collected for local organizations supporting food security, including the Carpenter’s Cup and the Community Food Pantry. Thank you to everyone who helped strengthen food security for our friends and neighbors! And a special thank-you to Tricia Cook and Crystal Dizney (Family Care Clinics) and Carol Stroud (Surgical Clinic) for their efforts in making this drive a success.

Obituary - Edna Roller
Edna Mae (McBride) Roller, 89, of Garden City, Missouri, passed away at her home under hospice care on Monday, December 15, 2025. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 PM at Garden City Cemetery in Garden City, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to ACG Hospice.
Edna was born on November 9, 1936, to James Edward and Ella Faye (Yocum) McBride in Garfield, Arkansas, where she grew up, then graduated from Rogers High School. She married Delbert Dewayne Roller on April 25, 1954, in Eureka Springs, AR, spending 53 years together and having six children to this union.
Dewayne and Edna moved from Arkansas to Kansas City, MO, in 1956, then moved and settled in the Garden City area in 1960, where they remained the rest of their lives. After raising her children, Edna worked at Holden Mfg Co as a seamstress, which she was part of sewing the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders outfits at one time before retiring from Unitog. Edna enjoyed several hobbies including: bowling on a league, riding their Harley Davidson traveiling the country with their motorcycle club, gardening, crocheting, and just spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Rosehill Baptist Church, where in her earlier days she enjoyed singing to the congregation.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; one brother; her husband, Dewayne, on May 28, 2007; her grandson, Jeremy Roller, on August 4, 2013; her son, Ron Roller, on November 18, 2019; and her daughter, Diana Briggs, on August 14, 2025. She is survived by her longtime companion, Billy Gunn, of the home; son, Delbert Dewayne "Tim" Roller, Jr. (Jerre), of Garden City, MO; son, Randy Roller (Rita), of Blue Springs, MO; daughter, Debra Kircher (Gary), of Harrisonville, MO; son-in-law, Jack Briggs, of Freeman, MO; daughter, Donna Kagarice (Jack), of Garden City, MO; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Everett “Wayne” DeLozier, age 88 of Butler, Missouri died Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the Butler Center. He was born October 21, 1937 to Everett Francis and Iva May Hood DeLozier in Clinton, Missouri.
Wayne is survived by two sons, Gene DeLozier and wife Diane and Brian DeLozier and wife Shannie all of Butler, Missouri; five grandchildren, Danny DeLozier (Brittany), Dustin DeLozier (Sam), Kayla Powell (Craig), Rachel Galvan (Micah) and Jake DeLozier; and 13 great-grandchildren, Braxton, Zander, Hayden, Gage, Brooklyn, Harper, Ellie, Kensington, Grace, Isaac, Will, Silis and Miles. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara DeLozier (08/18/2018); and one brother, Larry DeLozier.
Bates County Sheriff's Office Announces Successful Completion of "Operation Snowflake"
Butler, MO – December 11, 2025 – The Bates County Sheriff’s Office successfully completed "Operation Snowflake" on December 11, 2025, a concentrated enforcement effort targeting criminal activity and outstanding felony warrants within Bates County.
The operation commenced at approximately 2:00 PM and was executed by a joint team of approximately 40 law enforcement personnel, including 20 members of the Bates County Sheriff’s Office and 20 members of the Midwest Missouri Career Criminal and Drug Taskforce (MMCCDTF). The primary objectives of "Operation Snowflake" were targeted traffic and drug enforcement, along with the apprehension of subjects with outstanding felony warrants.
The following agencies participated and provided critical support for the operation:

Adrian Police Department
Butler Police Department
Rich Hill Police Department
Operation Results:
The operation yielded significant results across the county:
Traffic Enforcement: 45 traffic stops were conducted.
Warrant Enforcement: 29 residential locations were contacted in attempts to locate individuals with outstanding warrants.
Arrests: A total of nine (9) subjects were arrested on outstanding felony warrants.
Community Engagement: Officers conducted foot patrols and engaged with neighbors at a location in Hume, which had been identified as a high nuisance/drug location, successfully building positive relationships with the community.
Calls for Service: The operation generated a total of 89 calls for service class cards.
ICAC Investigation Update:
During the operation, local investigators and members of the Western Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce (WMICAC) attempted to serve a search warrant at a Butler residence connected to an ICAC case. New information was obtained indicating the subject no longer resided at the location. Investigators located the subject at a different address, and the individual was cooperative, consenting to a search of electronic devices. At the time of this release, no evidence of a crime was found, and no charges are expected.

Task Force Information:
Midwest Missouri Career Criminal & Drug Taskforce (MMCCDTF): A cooperative effort between the Sheriff’s Offices of Bates, Barton, Cedar, Dade, Henry, St. Clair, and Vernon Counties, dedicated to combating career criminals and drug activity across west-central Missouri.
Western Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce (WMICAC): Comprised of law enforcement agencies from Cass, Johnson, Bates, Henry, Saline, Lafayette, and Pettis Counties. WMICAC operates in coordination with the Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce (“MOICAC”) to investigate and prevent crimes involving the exploitation of children online.
