On 1/13/16 around 9:00pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriffs Deputies responded to a one vehicle rollover accident in the Northbound Lanes of I-49 around Mile Marker 133.6 (Which is North of the 52 West/ Butler exit).
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2001 Isuzu Trooper driven by 22 year old Hansen L. Chao of Fayetteville, Arkansas lost control on ice covered roadways, causing the vehicle to travel off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
A passenger in the vehicle 20 year old Josten D. Moreno of Frisco, Texas sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Adrian Tow.
