Southbound I-49 is closed just north of the 291 Exit in Harrisonville due to an injury accident. Please find an alternative route.

Update:
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a fatality accident occurred in the southbound lanes of I-49 when one persons car broke down on the side of the road and another person stopped to help them. Both vehicles were then struck by a semi truck.
