City of Harrisonville gives update on Lake Luna

LAKE LUNA: We have recently received questions from several residents asking about the decreasing water levels at Lake Luna in City Park and the water leaking out of a crack in the lake's spillway.

We want you to know that City staff are aware of the issue and are actively working to correct the issue.

The City Engineer is keeping a close eye on the situation and says that there are no signs of eminent breach, at this time.

Over the last few days, our Parks & Rec staff have been working diligently to plug and seal the leak in the spillway and have been able to do so.

We encourage residents to avoid playing on the dam and the spillway.

REMINDER: While water levels have dropped, please do not attempt to wade or swim in the water at the lake. These activities are dangerous and can create a variety of safety issues.
