Chloe Willet and McKenzie Alexander have earned the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. this summer, where they will present on public policy advocacy, focusing on social emotional learning for children and the childcare crisis in Missouri.
We also received the Innovative Service Award for our work with the Weber Book Swap. Winning a state award was not expected, but we are incredibly grateful for the recognition and for the opportunity to showcase just how amazing our students are and highlight their hard work.
I am incredibly proud of all of our competitors. The competition is steep, and the qualifications for nationals are very rigorous. Each student showed dedication, growth, and commitment throughout the year.
As this was my first year as an advisor, I learned a great deal. I am already thinking about ways to refine and strengthen our chapter to create a more immersive and co curricular experience moving forward.
Thank you everyone for your continued support of our students! Big things are happening!
