Today: Breezy, Dry and Warm

Today will be breezy, warm, and dry across the region. Wind gusts between 30 and 40 MPH are possible through the afternoon along with highs around 70° F. Some elevated fire weather concerns will exist across central Missouri.

What a kind gesture

If you didn’t make it out to the Archie ball fields yesterday you missed a very entertaining day. 8 teams paying to play in a one day tournament to benefit the youth of Archie.

The team Mad Dawgz not only won the tournament and took 1st place they also chose to give up their 1st place prize money to keep the funds going toward the kids!

Stand up group and can’t wait to have them back for another tournament.

Another Chilly Morning

Another chilly morning is expected for the region, especially to the east of Kansas City, where early morning temperatures will fall into the lower to middle 30s.

A frost advisory has been issued for areas of Kansas City, so folks will need to protect sensitive vegetation. Temperatures will warm nicely in the afternoon, with highs climbing into the upper 60s to mid-70s.

Looking ahead, showers and a few non-severe storms are possible Monday night into Tuesday.

A better chance for strong to severe storms arrives Friday. We’ll have more details on that potential in the coming days, so will keep track of the forecast throughout the week.
