Judy Pruett Ruff was born May 13, 1945 in Maple Hill, Kansas to Clifford and Hattie Brown Pruett. She grew up in the Bates County Missouri area and graduated from Miami High School in 1962. Judy was united in marriage to Nelson R. Ruff, Jr. on February 22, 1963. Three children were born to this union.
Judy worked as a seamstress for many years, designing and sewing everything from English riding gear to beautiful wedding dresses that were true works of art. Some of her creations could even be seen on display in New York. When Judy wasn’t sewing, she loved to square and clog dance.
